Multiple Copy Clipboard
At our last meeing, there was a discussion regarding the use of the clipboard for multiple copies, as some of us cannot access this facility. The following information has been supplied by Keith, and it is repeated here in the hope that some of you might find it useful
What we forgot to say this morning was that the Clipboard which can hold multiple copies
or cuts is NOT the Windows XP clipboard, but a part of MS Office [from about MS Office 2000 onwards, I think], and only works when Office is running. You can, however copy/cut material from any MS Office or other programs and it will slot into the next available berth in the Office Clipboard. However, you can only paste from it AIUI into an MS Office document. MS Office Clipboard is only visible when you start Word or Excel, etc., and activate it via View Toolbars Clipboard. Then you see the first 4 windows of the 12 possible. These automatically increase to 8, then 12 as you fill up the berths. As Martin said, you see the first few letters/words of the materialyou've copied when you hover the cursor over a berth with material in it. This feature isn't very useful with images, unless you have some thumbnail viewing gizmo which can read the clipboard.
