AIUI, Microsoft will re-issue the MSRT monthly until it's finally issued (it's in beta ATM). I guess these monthly versions arrive with you via the Windows Update system.
I've installed 2 issues, and heartily dislike it, as there's no indication that it has run, nor any results - even an 'all clear'.
After it's formally released, there's apparently a possibility that MS will charge for it.
I tried XoftSpy, as you described last Friday. It pronounced that I had a clean machine. So did AdAware, and SpyBot seems to have gone out of business. So I am puzzled as to why no malware is coming my way.
How can one continue in paranoia, if the so-and-sos out there don't even try ....... ? ;-))
