It made me laugh!
I have just come across a little gem that I would like to share with you. I am currently reading a book by John Humphreys on the English language. In one chapter he is writing about the different ways in which people speak. Under a heading "The Nobs", he says
"These are the people who hanker for the days when your station in life was defined by how you spoke: posh people spoke posh English.
They try to speak like the Queen, or even Brian Sewell, the only man I have ever met who makes the Queen sound common."
Well, I thought it was funny!
