Ah sweet mystery of life!
You may have noticed that there have been quite a few comments on the blog I posted yesterday, but only one of them has come from one of our members, that from Keith Drury.
I owned up to the fact that I pinched the letter from another site, and my punishment for this piece of blatant plagiarism is to receive a batch of completely irrelevant comments. Since the only people who are supposed to be able to post comments are members of our blog, it is a mystery to me.
I published the letter because I thought it was a wonderful example of a tax man's humour. Upon reflection, perhaps I should not have found this unusual. I am sure that the drivers of the tumbrils passing through the streets of Paris on their way to the guillotine exchanged many a merry little quip with their passengers.

I notice that there is a 'word verification' button on the blogger dashboard. Apparently it cuts out blogger spam. Haven't tried it myself.
