Do you have the audacity to try this?
John Derrick joined our group as a guest at our first meeting in 2006. We do not know if he will go the whole hog and join us a a full member. If he does, there is no doubt that he will be an asset to the group
. He has proved this by giving us the following information on using Audacity, which is a free digital audio editor and which will run on Window 98 or above. If you just type "Audacity" into Google, you will find the site with the program ready to download.
The following is the step-by-step information he has given us:
1. Download and install "Audacity" from the net (2.2 mb)
2. Set the sound source in Audacity to "Stereo Mix"
3. Have both the Internet sound source and Audacity both running
4. Hit the "record" button in Audacity and "stop" when finished.
5. Save the file if you want to listen again or export as a wav file if you wish to use in another programme or burn to a audio disc.
6. If you want to burn to an audio disc so that you can listen on your HiFi, or in your car etc, then import the file into Windows Media Player and burn as an audio disc.
John says he has done all this and it works fine!
