My new address
This is to let you know that I will shortly be leaving Weston-super-Mare to take up residence in a large villa in Monte Carlo that I am buying in the next few weeks. I am also purchasing a large strip of private beach in front of the villa.
This is being made possible as I am just about to take advantage of a business proposition that has been put to me. I have been contacted by a Mr Mark Boland, the manager of IBM AMRO Bank, located in Moorgate in London. I worked in Moorgate for several years, but the bank must have moved there since I left, as it was not there then.
Mr Boland tells me that in 1999 a French gentleman deposited £17,000,000 in his bank.
He did not contact the bank for some years, and after enquiries had been made it turned out that he and all his family had been killed in a car crash. He did not leave a will and all the efforts of the bank to trace his next-of-kin have proved fruitless.
The bank has now been advised that unless the next-of-kin is traced by the end of June the
ownership of this large sum of money will revert to the British Government. Mr Boland has offered me the opportunity to sign documents that he assures me will be quite legal declaring me to be the next-of-kin. Very generously he will then give me 40% of the seventeen millions, and take only 60% for himself.
I am just about to send Mr Boland all the personal details he has requested. Grace and I will be pleased to see as many of you as possible in Monte Carlo as soon as we are settled in. I will be happy to pass your name and address to Mr Boland if you would like to be given similar opportunities in the future.
